Dr. Iva Vinhas

Iva has worked in the pharmaceutical industry for nearly 21 years. Recently holding the position of Quality Control Manager (where she initially managed the activities to deliver a Quality Control Lab for physicochemical analysis), Microbiology and Stability Studies Laboratory Responsible for pharmaceutical companies in Portugal with manufacturing sites engaged in producing human and veterinary medicines, including controlled substances. Previous responsibilities were analytical development, API synthesis, and process optimization in API manufacturing.

Well-versed in aspects of organic synthesis, process improvement, analytical methods, troubleshooting, root cause investigations, and microbiology in a GMP environment.

Holds a degree in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology specialty, from the Instituto Superior Técnico and a Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Engineering from the Faculdade de Farmácia da Universidade de Lisboa and Instituto Superior Técnico, in Lisbon.
